Storyline Synopsis
Although this film is a serious thriller/sci-fi spy story there are satirical/comedic elements interspersed throughout. The initial characters described are from another planet and it is their conflict that is central to the story. However, they do not appear in the story immediately nor are they the main thrust of the film.
This is a movie about a club disc jockey named Martin, known as DJ ‘Sons of X’. He is extremely popular in the EDM scene around the world. He is not necessarily gorgeous or handsome but is totally lovable and innocent and is quite zany in his own way. When in public, at the sound board of Club BE-LIVE, he controls the hundreds of hot young bodies sweating and dancing to his tunes. It is how Martin communicates.
When he’s alone his imagination always runs wild and is second to none. But now he is chosen by unknown political forces to thwart the threat of the Nukes. He finds himself in the precarious predicament of having to save the world from nuclear holocaust. Why Me? He thinks. Why indeed. Another dilemma to be solved.
Martin is a 26 year old aspiring actor and college student living in Miami. He is well known for his night job at club BE-LIVE, owned by the wealthy real estate mogul and gangster Jose Gianni Mendez. Martin always feels out of place, isolated and confused despite his popularity as an internationally known DJ and, oddly enough, thinks of himself as an ‘Astronaut Philosopher’. Unbeknownst to himself, although human, he is from an alien planet named Xeres.
He is also known as 'the Duke’ to his EDM music audience because of his leadership in music and popularity as a vinyl Spin Doctor who brings inspiring music to thousands of people and heals them with his trance music. He is renowned for invigorating his audiences’ souls, entertaining them and invoking them to gather together as one global unified tribe of humanity through Electronic Dance Trance Music.
His girlfriend is Sylvie, an empath and partial psychic. She is also a mute. Her three best friends are Sopphia, a pre-op transgender who occasionally works for Gianni Mendez, Julianna, the computer hacking genius, and BellaDonna Malcreante, daughter of the the business tycoon who oversees all of Gianni Mendez's financial activities. Together the four girls are known in the South Beach Club Scene as the 'Sole Sisters'.
Martin awakens one morning and thinks that a nuclear war has occurred, or has it really he ponders. These intrusive thoughts of Martin forebode the impending disaster that is about to unfold on earth by both a secular American plot and an intergalactic plot, parallel to each other. He can't explain it but he thinks he is in some kind of delusional crazy Reality Show named "Duke and the Nukes". He becomes obsessed with this theme of "Duke and the Nukes" and can't seem to mentally escape its grasp. He is unaware of his fate as a soon-to-be anointed hero who will save the world through the medium of modern EDM music and the fact that he was born on a faraway planet called Xeres. He continues playing his music at club BE-LIVE in Miami Beach and pondering why, what, where, how and who he is.
Martin’s home planet (unbeknownst to him) is far away Xeres. It is a frozen, blue ice planet with an advanced civilization of galactic explorers ruled by the supreme Queen Taya for over 50 thousand years. She and her estranged husband Xenon have been battling over how best to explore and colonize new planets.
Queen Taya is peaceful and benevolent, Xenon is violent and without conscience and rules by his will to conquer at all costs. Though Queen Taya rules the Xereans, Xenon rules the breakaway faction known as the Astrogens. They are determined to conquer any and all other worlds they can by any means—Queen Taya peacefully, and Xenon by his cold iron indomitable will. Their objectives, however, are the same—they both, Xereans and Astrogens, wish to find a warm, green inhabitable planet to call their new home. Their spiritual psyches are possessed by both Godlight and Godwar - their equivalent to Earth’s concept of good and evil but even more so. Enter Earth
Queen Taya’s plan to colonize Earth began eons ago when she seeded our planet with the Fruit of the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. It was she who was believed to be the supreme deity that all Earthly religions are based on, be they Christian, Jewish, Islamic or Hindu. On Earth she is known as Gaia – Mother to our earth, sky, and seas.
Earth has now come closer to the brink of nuclear war. Three American characters are plotting the theft of America’s nuclear secrets; General Gaylord Klonedeister, the insane Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who knows the location and codes for all American Nukes; his underworld contact, Edward Skimmletoe, a wealthy international financier and former soldier of fortune; and Skimmletoe’s henchman, Jose Gianni Mendez. Mendez is a real estate mogul, philanthropist, man about town, and club owner. He is the direct contact to the immensely wealthy South American drug cartels.
These three are plotting the sale of American nuclear secrets to the South American drug potentate Jose Carteleone for $5 billion. Klonedeister wants the nuclear control and money to bring forth his vision of a New World Order—an oligarchy to defeat the many and rule by the few. He wishes control, unfettered by the new found awareness of the general public enabled by the internet’s social networks of Facebook, Google, and Twitter, etc.
Skimmletoe just wants his cut, and Mendez wants his share as well. The Carteleone want the Nukes to attain ultimate control, beyond drugs, over the rest of the world. This plot is what Queen Taya cannot allow and Xenon wants to see come true.
Enter Professor Bogosity. He is a renowned ancient civilization history professor and archeologist. He is revered by his many students (which include Martin, Sylvie, Sopphia, and Julianna). He has just learned of the ultimate secret of humanity that is hidden away in a ‘Vault’ deep in the Superstition mountains near Phoenix, Arizona. With this secret in his possession, Bogosity can finally claim the world recognition he believes is rightfully his to enhance the ultimate prestige he has always coveted. But how can he achieve this?
He learns from Sopphia of another secret – General Klonedeister is a closet cross dresser.
Bogosity now manipulates events with the help of Damon and Juliana, very high end computer hackers who, though apparently loyal CIA agents working for Admiral McNabb (a good guy) secretly work for Klonedeister. With their help Bogosity also learns of Klonedeister’s secret plot to sell nuclear secrets to Carteleone, also about the general's nefarious associates Skimmletoe and Mendez, and the existence of the $5 billion payoff to Klonedeister for the Nukes.
Bogosity is thus able to blackmail Klonedeister into giving up the nuclear codes to him. This knowledge will allow Bogosity to gain the wealth and means to attain the secret of the ‘Vault’ and global recognition he believes is justifiably his. The hackers transfer the money to Bogosity (they also want a piece of this pie).
Renai Toobey is a deeply embedded, secret agent mole originally from Xeres. In fact, he is the son of Taya and Xenon. He has worked for decades as a deep undercover agent for the CIA. He pretends to be loyal to Taya and assigns Martin to destroy the nuclear plot, but his loyalties are truly with his father Xenon. He wants Earth destroyed and readied for colonization just like his father Xenon and Xenon’s followers, the Astrogens. He does not care about the Vault. He only cares about creating nuclear annihilation on Earth so it can be conquered by Xenon and the Astrogens.
As a student in Professor Bogosity’s class of ancient Greek history, Martin meets Sylvie, a girl who, heretofore, he has only seen in his dreams. Now she is real. She is mute, psychic, beautiful and empathic. She communicates only with her eyes. It is love for both of them. Sylvie becomes aware of the Professor’s nefarious plot by reading his mind and feeling his intent and informs Martin. Martin confronts the Professor with this knowledge, and Bogosity pretends that these two students, Martin and Sylvie, must be terminated.
Martin is kidnapped and he and Sylvie are threatened with death for their knowledge of the plot.
Sylvie confronts Bogosity and saves Martin by agreeing to assist Bogosity in his quest. She also learns that Bogosity is actually on a highly secret assignment, authorized by the President of the United States, Remington Bodacious, to infiltrate General Klonedeister's nuclear plot. Now Bogosity, with his newly acquired $5 billion and Sylvie with her telepathic and empathic powers form an alliance.
After Martin’s abduction and faked torture, and Sylvie being threatened with death by the plotters, Martin confronts Klonedeister and Skimmletoe in a final battle where he kills both of them. Martin #dukeandthenukes becomes the messenger of Truth.
Queen Taya of Xeres, who so long ago seeded this tiny planet Earth, returns, in the guise of a beautiful Russian model, to straighten out the misbehavior of her children on Earth. It is Martin, her progeny, that is chosen to foil the deadly plot of the Nukes. Martin has the attention of millions of music fans around the world and can communicate subliminal messages to them that go beyond just Peace and Love. It is his musical messages that can turn the people toward true knowledge.
Bogosity and Sylvie indeed do find the ‘Vault’ deep in the caves of Superstition Mountain’
Taya is there, awaiting them as they open the Vault and she reveals the DNA Crystal—the Secret that Bogosity has longed to discover. Taya reveals the Secret and uses the DNA Crystal to energize the small crystal pendant Sylvie has worn for years. It gives her the power of speech for the first time in her life. More importantly, now that Bogosity learns the enormity of the ‘Secret’ he repents his previous actions and becomes a true believer. He will now do the right thing.
This is the secret that Professor Bogosity has been seeking and when he learns the Truth he changes his loyalties. He realizes such a truth is bigger than any of his selfish ambitions and humanity must know of it.
The DNA Crystal of Knowledge must now be revealed to all mankind. The deeply guarded secret of the ‘Vault’ is that humans are indeed IMMORTAL! The DNA Crystal from the Vault can prove to all people on earth that humans are indeed immortal. No longer must Man depend on religious faith be it Christian, Islam, Hindu or Pagan. The Human Soul is real and survives after death.
Final Scene
A giant music concert on South Beach Martin presents this Truth to all his musical listeners. Taya’s message is that all humans are immortal. It is now known that She is the original deity who brings enlightenment to all Mankind. Taya finally presents the ‘DNA Crystal of Life’ to the world. In a public performance, hosted by Martin DJ 'Sons of X', before thousands of people live, and millions of others in a spectacular global media coverage, Taya brings forth the DNA Crystal and in an explosion of light, the world becomes enlightened.
OOPS -- Enter Xenon—enraged ex-husband and villainous alien with all his Astrogen warriors dressed in full riot gear landing on the beach before the shocked thousands of party goers. An epic galactic battle is about to ensue. Suddenly Martin shouts over the PA “Can’t we all just get along?”
Silence And then he pushes a button - the award winning theme song is blasted out and….
Everyone breaks into dance—the Xereans, the Astrogens, Gaia/Taya, Xenon—everyone! Even the characters like Klonedeister, Bogosity, Skimmletoe, etc. make a final appearance on the main dance floor on the beach. All dancing together with the thousands that have gathered.
